How to Become a Member

We intend to expand our numbers slowly, prioritising quality over quantity. All Peritus members are required as a minimum to have:

  • substantial proven experience as a specialist independent occupational therapist and case manager, including:
    • work at a senior level in a varied range of roles and sectors
    • at least 5 years’ experience as a specialist case manager
    • comprehensive experience of writing independent reports
    • specialist postgraduate qualifications
    • evidence of continuing professional education and development

In addition, all Peritus members undertake to:

  • participate in regular peer appraisals and discussions
  • maintain memberships of all relevant professional organisations
  • keep themselves abreast of relevant case law and developments in the litigation environment
